BURNSIDE PARKS

The City of Burnside is one of Adelaide's oldest residential areas, and is well known for its tree lined streets, period architecture and plentiful reserves and gardens within our 30 km² area.

There are many parks for leisure and pleasure across the City. Our parks also play an important role in the appearance of our suburbs, providing eye-catching, safe and relaxing surrounds – so why not pay a visit.

Picnic-style gatherings of up 60 people in attendance with no third party contractors (i.e. amusements, catering, entertainers, hired equipment) are permitted in our parks and reserves without a booking.

Please refer to By-Law No. 3 - Local Government Land for further information on what is permitted in our parks and reserves.

Playgrounds

Council maintains and operates 34 playgrounds throughout the City. These come in all shapes and sizes and our aim is to provide a range of innovative play spaces and to reinvigorate existing playgrounds and play opportunities.
